Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Celebration – Massive Cleanliness Drive at Juhu Beach, Mumbai

As part of the nationwide observance of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan anniversary, a large-scale cleanliness initiative was organised at Juhu Beach, one of Mumbai's most iconic public spaces. The drive brought together citizens, youth groups, environmental volunteers, and local community organisations in a collective effort to restore and beautify the shoreline.

Cleanliness Drive after Chhath Puja

On the auspicious conclusion of Chhath Puja, Member of Parliament Satnam Singh Sandhu, spearheaded a mega cleanliness drive at Sector 42 Lake in Chandigarh where over thousands devotees from Bihar and Purvanchal performed rituals during the grand four-day festival, which concluded with Usha Arghya (morning offerings) to Bhagwan Suryadev (Sun God).

Mega Cleanliness Drive Achieving Impossible Together - Swach Bharat, Swasth Bharat

Starting at sunrise, thousands of individuals congregated in Chandigarh, demonstrating their solidarity for "Ek Tareek Ek Ghanta Ek Saath," as advocated by our esteemed Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi ji. "Swach Bharat Ek Sangathit Prayas" witnessed participation from people of all religions, age groups , including children, girls, boys, the elderly, and the young, representing diverse backgrounds, all contributing to this extraordinary cleanliness initiative.

The transformation from the seemingly impossible to the achievable was evident when everyone united in this effort. A park was converted into a stunning "bahgecha" as part of the "Akhand Bharat Udhyan" repressing the true Essence of unity in diversity in India.

Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – Multi-Faith Tree Plantation

“Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative was organised in Mumbai uniting people from faiths including Christianity, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Zoroastrianism. Tree plantation drives conducted at Holy Name High School, Khareghat Colony, and during Sikh and Buddhist gatherings highlighted collective climate consciousness and a shared sense of intergenerational responsibility. As an impact of these initiatives, it is estimated that across Maharashtra, approximately 500–700 saplings were planted or distributed through the combined efforts of Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, and Parsi communities during Sewa Pakhwada.

Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam: Tree Plantation Drive Along NH-5

Chandigarh

Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam plantation drive took place on July 30, 2024, as students from the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs planted 350 saplings along NH-5. The initiative, organised with Rotary and Rotaract Club Chandigarh Central and NHAI, echoed the government’s focus on environmental sustainability. Beyond planting the saplings, students were guided on how to care for them, understand soil preservation, and ensure regular upkeep so the trees grow strong.

Parsi Community Unites for Ek Ped Ma ke Naam Campaign

Mumbai

The Parsi Community of Maharashtra joined a fortnight-long campaign to celebrate PM Modi’s 74th birthday. They took part in ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative and paid respects to Mother Earth by planting saplings. They also spoke about ten years of growth and inclusion under PM Modi and pledged support for his vision for Viksit Bharat. Many prominent members of the Parsi community including Manik Dastoor and Khojeste P Mistre attended the event.
